Well, our trip down south was all we hoped and more. A great time was had by all and we had no major problems. God was good to keep Montezuma at bay as we ate all we wanted and more without too many difficulties. What a beautiful place, we're already planning a return visit!
This first shot was taken with a lomographic frogeye camera, Allison and I found it for $40 at Urban Outfitters in Dallas, I was impressed:

finally...a break
Allison & I are taking off with the Naterman's down to Mexico. Our flight takes off at 7:00am and we will be on the beach by tomorrow afternoon. This will mark momma's first time away from Case and will be my longest time away from him since he was born. We are looking forward to time for relaxation, taking pictures for fun, eating, chasing turtles, and again...stress-free hangin' out. I will be experimenting with my Hogla plastic camera and am looking forward to having a chance at some great scenic shots. Here are a few I've taken recently:

Sweet!
We spent some time at Tawakoni this weekend with my parents, Kim, Ryan & Josh (Kody was at camp) and all of our animals. We had a great time, got to fish a little and spent a lot of time with Case and the family. One of the highlights of the weekend was Case and his Nanny having a moment while cooking Austrailian Cheesecake (no, there's no raw eggs). Case got his first opportunity to lick the spoon! It's one of those rites of passage that all young children need to experience, he thought it was heavenly. Just look at his face!

father's day
We had a great family trip out to Arlington today to meet Mom, Dad, & Aunt Marcy for an early dinner at Abuelo's. We had a good time and got the opportunity to honor Dad for father's day. Case is growing up so quick, it is evident on the faces of people that have not seen him in a couple of weeks. He's walking around everywhere and is more fun than ever. Here's a pic or two from this evening:

He's on the move!
Yep, you guessed it - Case is now officially a 'toddler'. On several occasions over the last 2 days he has taken 10-12 strung together steps all by himself! What a sweet, lovey boy he is! Once we capture some pics we'll be sure to post!

Happy Birthday to our "itty bitty mitty" Case

J & I will add pics from the party as we get a chance to sort through them! Case thoroughly enjoyed his special day! After all the storms Friday night (tornados, etc.) we had a perfect West Texas day on Sunday! Sunny, 73 degrees, no wind and hardly a cloud in the sky! Anyone who has been to West Texas knows those days are few and far between.

bluebonnets
This is probably just the first of a couple of bluebonnet posts, we know it's a Texas tradition. Here is our first go at it:

Here is what Case thought about taking all of these pics...

easter egg hunt at tawakoni
Well, we had a great time as a family at Tawakoni this weekend. It was topped off Sunday with Case's first official Easter egg hunt. He was only about five days old last Easter, so none of us were very coherent for that one. Case liked to find two hard-boiled eggs and smash them together until he struck yolk...he loved it! Enjoy the pics...

fish on!
Allison must get it from her Dad, she outfishes me everytime she decides to go. She caught three keeper crappie Friday evening of our Tawakoni Easter weekend. She's not invited today, but she has already caught enough for her own meal...the top fish was a hair over 15 inches, the bottom was a solid 14. Nice slabs (talkin' about the fish). We ended up cleaning 37 on the weekend, yum.

And the race is on!!!!
IT'S RACE DAY
For the last couple of months Joey has been organizing a 5K on the Southwest Christian campus and today is the big day! I'm so proud of him, he has done an amazing job - who knew there was so much involved with putting together a race like this, but it is a big endeavor! The race will totally benefit Habitat for Humanity and later this week we (along with many SCS student council members) will take part in a Habitat project in Fort Worth. So, it's 6:30 am, Joey left and hour ago and Case and I are about to walk out the door....
Update 3/20/07 The 5k went perfectly! My husband is an amazing man!

A day off is a good thing...
Hey guys,
It's been a while since we've posted pictures, so we decided to overwhelm you a bit with this post. Joey had the day off so we cruised out to Glen Rose, ate some Ranch House Bar-B-Q and took some photos. Enjoy, we certainly did.

Well, it came a little too late to have a White Christmas, but better late than never! We got a day off of school and some nice pictures to boot.
