Meeting Big Tex

Yep, you guessed it a trip to the one and only State Fair of Texas! On our way we visited two other Dallas icons - The Dallas Farmer's Market (which if you've never been could be misleading....it's smackdab in the middle of downtown Dallas)and the famous Metro Diner on Gaston Avenue. Initally, we learned about The Metro Diner from a photographer whose work we absolutely love...Allison V. Smith...anyway, interestingly while we were there we met another photographer, Phoenix Taylor, who has some very dark, but awesome work. www.myspace.com/phoenix_pae and www.dismantledred.com He loved Case- who was all smiles - and took some really cute pics of him. Another little interesting note, the diner just happens to be right across the street from Baylor College of Denistry (where my Dad went). I had never seen the school so that was fun too - neat to try to imagine what life was like 30+ years ago when my parents lived not too far from that very spot!
